A discovery of the Suuq of Marrakesh

A visit to Marrakech is not complete without an immersion in the Suuq and a full discovery of this part of the Arab way of life.

The visit is conducted by Abdul and he gave us a lot of advise on what to buy, where but most important"How"...

The Suuq of Marrakesh is a world of colors, scents, tastes and sights. It is a crowded place, whit thousands of visitors daily looking for the perfect keepsake, browsing a labyrinth of stalls, and bargaining. And whatever they want to buy, Suuq of Marrakesh probably has it.

A great learning experience.

Yes we did see the Crane and in this nest the baby one...

The Koutoubia

The Koutoubia Mosque or Kutubiyya Mosque is the largest mosque in Marrakesh, MoroccoIt is located in the southwest medina quarter of Marrakesh.[1The mosque is ornamented with curved windows, a band of ceramic inlay, pointed merlons, and decorative arches; it has a large plaza with gardens, and is floodlit at night. The minaret, 77 metres (253 ft) in height, includes a spire and orbs. It was completed under the reign of the Almohad Caliph Yaqub al-Mansur (1184 to 1199), and has inspired other buildings such as the Giralda of Seville and the Hassan Tower of Rabat
